Gardens of the south-west France

The weather conditions in southwestern France - mild spring and autumn, short winters and hot, hot summers, the summer in conjunction with the regular spring rain and the storm of my time, and is one of the most fertile areas of country and a region where we see a large number of gardens and plants.

The striking contrast, when they meet Free French gardens between the French and the latest development - the English garden.

The style is Frenchvery formal and very high maintenance costs. It's better for the large number of small well-tended hedges (usually less than 30 cm in height), the line of ornate beds, a small number of plants with known sample. Many soil is visible between the plants.

The best examples are perhaps those in the Dordogne castles and Upper Fort Marqueyssac, where the centuries, the gardens have changed, and each is meticulously maintained shrubs. Certainly gardensThey expect not to get on the lawn!

In recent years, many gardeners French were turning instead to the English style of garden. Plant cover every square inch of land, and urban sprawl to one another in chaotic shapes and colors. The gardens give the impression of a "survival of the fittest 'battlefield.

But do not mistake the chaos due to lack of planning - the riot of colors is planned with care! Much attention is on the plants in bloom, and if, of course,The garden is always coordinated. Similarly, the color of the leaves, the final height of plants and vines take all the important elements of the gardens.

A garden in the Dordogne, the vast English-style formal garden with an Italian style with the Sardy, it connects to the west of Bergerac.

There is a problem that all the gardens here, however, face, whether the style in English or French style - and this is Mother Nature. The great beauty of natureForces of nature, the gardener of hard work as much as possible, with just the landscape that surrounds them compete!

A holiday visit to the gardens of the South-west France - and the same region - is that they give you a lifetime of memories are underway, and many ideas for the garden to take home to their own.
