NW Gardens in France visit

If I was choosing a field visit to France, based solely on gardens to visit France is in the northwest. The mild climate and regular rainfall in this part of France has allowed the development of the gardens of some really fabulous.

Monet's garden at Giverny

The most famous of all is undoubtedly Monet's garden at Giverny. Made famous by Monet's paintings of his large lily pond and Japanese-style bridge, we all know what to expect fromA visit to Giverny. But it is much more than the lily is to see how beautiful pond. to create even his sense of color and perspective some fabulous investment limits Monet. These are placed in formal outside his home in a grid and are a riot of color throughout the year.

While the water garden is really beautiful and evocative of my favorite gardens in the area are: La Petite Rochelle, Les Jardins de la mansoni, Les Jardins de Castillon and Les Jardins deKerdalo.

La Petite Rochelle

This garden won first prize in the 2006 competition of the best parks in France every year run by Briggs & Stratton. The garden contains a series of garden rooms, each with a different theme color. The garden includes a total of hectares and contains a collection of Daphne and a collection of Pieris. One of the remarkable features of this garden is his interest throughout the year as hellebores, camellias and a variety of flowering bulbs in winter, extraordinary variety of rhododendrons and azaleas in spring, lilies, roses and agapanthus in summer, asters provide masses of color in autumn. Besides these, there are many rare and interesting plants from all over Europe gathered.

Les Jardins de la mansoni

These gardens have only won fifth prize at the best park in France 2007. In the garden there are nine different themed gardens, including the "garden of perfumes," and the"Garden of the Moon." The Perfumed Garden has something to offer throughout the year with Daphne and Viburnum in winter, hyacinths, primroses in spring, lavender and carnations and roses in summer into autumn. If you are looking for ways to bring fragrance into your garden, this is a great source of ideas. This garden is also near the beautiful village of Saint Ash de wiped away.

Les Jardins de Castillon

One of the highlights of this garden is its fabulous water gardenveritable jungle of broad-leaved plants, such as moisture-loving hostas and Gunnera. There is also a herb garden, all the rage these days and rightly so for the motion and all interest a year, bring them to the garden and a great big "border-style English." This garden won third prize for the best park in France Competition 2005.

Les Jardins de Kerdalo

Designed by Peter Prinz Wolkonsky this garden won the best park in France awarded 2004thIn reality, this garden has a reputation as one of the best gardens in Europe after the Second World War has created.

The garden begins before visiting the beautiful stone house and down past a beautiful cave on the banks of the river Jaudy. Prince Volkonsky was a man and plants in the garden is full of rare plants and shrubs and the variety here is enormous.
